Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality will be respected and upheld. Your name and contact information will never be sold or shared unless explicit consent is given to share your contact information. The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions to your privacy and confidentiality are listed below:

Threats of bodily self-harm or threat of grave disability or threats of serious physical harm to another

When there is reasonable suspicion of child abuse, elder abuse, or dependent adult abuse

In these instances, the appropriate authorities will be contacted which could include Child Protective Services, Elder Protective Services, Law Enforcement, and any other applicable agency.
